Terms of Service

Last updated: March 28, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of DeepCited and its associated services. By creating an account or using DeepCited, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

1. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don’t share your password or let others access your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. If we discover that your account information is materially false, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to use DeepCited. If you’re using DeepCited on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to agree to these Terms on their behalf.

2. Beta access and invite codes

DeepCited is currently in beta. Access requires a valid invite code. Invite codes are non-transferable — they may not be sold, shared publicly, or distributed without our permission. Using someone else’s invite code to misrepresent your identity is grounds for immediate account termination.

Beta users may access paid plan features at no charge during the beta period. We reserve the right to transition to paid plans with reasonable notice. Beta features may change, be removed, or behave differently from the final product.

3. Acceptable use

You may use DeepCited to monitor and improve your own brand’s AI visibility. You may not:

  • Use the service to monitor or target brands you don’t own or aren’t authorized to represent
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or replicate the DeepCited platform or its underlying infrastructure
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data
  • Abuse the free scan feature (automated repeated submissions from the same source)
  • Submit false or misleading brand information
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to it

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

4. Billing and refunds

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, depending on which you choose. All charges are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Cancellations. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then.

Refunds. We offer a 7-day refund for first-time subscribers who haven’t used the monitoring or content creation features beyond the initial setup. Outside of this window, refunds are evaluated case by case — email us at billing@deepcited.com.

We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days’ notice. Price changes do not apply mid-billing-period.

5. Content ownership

Your content is yours. Any articles, briefs, or other content generated through the Citation Engine on your behalf belong to you. You may publish, edit, and distribute them however you choose.

You grant DeepCited a limited license to process and store your content for the purpose of delivering the service — for example, storing generated articles in your workspace or publishing them to your connected CMS. We do not claim ownership of any content you create through the platform.

You are responsible for ensuring that the websites and brands you submit for monitoring are yours to analyze. Don’t submit competitor content under the guise of your own brand.

6. Service availability

We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party API outages (AI engine providers, database services), or unexpected incidents may cause downtime. We will communicate significant outages via email or our status page when possible.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Major feature removals affecting paid functionality will come with at least 30 days’ notice.

7. Limitation of liability

DeepCited is provided “as is.” We make no guarantees about the accuracy of AI engine responses we retrieve, the results of content you publish, or improvements to your visibility scores. AI engine behavior is outside our control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeepCited shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by email or with a notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
